offer extended canoe or kayak trips for those who want to camp. For
example, you can combine the upper 8 or 10 mile trip with the lower 10
mile trip and camp midway behind our store. Check out this site for camping rates. There are no designated camping areas on the creek. Please respect private property. DON'T TRESPASS! WE DON'T PUT IN CANOES PAST 2 PM! SHUTTLE SERVICE (for those who have their own boat) $20 per boat additional fees apply for extra pickup We now rent tubes.....just $10 per day! GROUP RATES 10 OR MORE - $5.00 OFF EACH CANOE All times are approximate. You may stop at any point along the creek to fish, swim, or picnic. Have fun and enjoy the trip, but be back before dark. There will be a $5.00 fee per canoe charged to those who stay out after dark. WHERE DOES MY TRIP END? For trips ending in Iron City, you will take out just BEFORE the bridge in Iron City on the RIGHT. (LOOK FOR THE STOP SIGN and take out there) When you
get out, make sure all life vests and paddles are in the boats and the
boats are pulled up safely out of the water. Just walk back up to our
store and check in.For trips ending at Goose Shoals, we have to approximate a time to pick you up and bring you back to your vehicle depending on the time you are put in the water at Iron City, usually six hours. You may take a cell phone and call us when you get there. Your trip will end to the LEFT, JUST BEFORE Goose Shoals bridge-which will be the only bridge you come to after you launch at Iron City bridge. Don't go PAST it! You will incur extra fees if you pass these points. Pets are allowed. WE USE OLD TOWN DISCOVERY SERIES CANOES. THEY ARE MADE OF POLYETHYLENE WITH TWO PLASTIC FORMED SEATS BUILT-IN PER CANOE. WE WOULD PREFER NO MORE THAN TWO ADULTS PER CANOE TO AVOID EXCESSIVE WEAR & TEAR. KAYAKS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SOLO RIDERS. A THIRD PERSON IN CANOE AGE 13 AND OLDER WILL PAY $5 EXTRA. AGES 12 AND UNDER CAN RIDE FREE. |
